Throw In The Towel

You know the saying "Bow out gracefully"? First of all, I feel like that's an oxymoron. For one thing, I'm not graceful. How are people expected to throw in the towel on something and do it gracefully? I've always been in awe of those men and women who are able to handle things with poise. I aspire to be like them. At this moment, I'm trying to figure out how I can bow out and be graceful. And I've got to tell you...it's not looking good. It's looking more like I'll be bowing out awkwardly. Why, oh why, didn't my mom put me in dance classes to help with my grace?!

Princess,

I feel that if you were to bow out gracefully, you would lose some of your charm. We were not born to be the swans of the earth, but more of the honking goose (that is prettier than the swan-just can't help that) that makes a powerfully awkward exit that everyone laughs at and loves and that's how we actually get our way because we are that awesome. Think about that.
